How I Learned Marketing Tips Through TikTok

I feel I was pretty late to the game when it came to looking at my first Tiktok video. Let me tell you, I was laughing so hard and quickly became addicted. For anyone that knows me, knows I am not shy. Doing TikTok Dances using TikTok songs was right up my alley. I started off doing personal videos but because I was having so much fun with it, I decided to incorporate TikTok Marketing into the business.

What is TikTok?

According to Influencer MarketingHub’s article, What is TikTok –  The Fastest Growing Social Media App Uncovered, they explain that “TikTok is a short-form, video-sharing app that allows users to create and share 15-second videos, on any topic.”.

How I Used TikTok Marketing for Business

The goal was simple. Find content relating to my business, create a video and share it, and get views. I may not have a huge following on our TikTok account (yet) but TikTok allows you to share your videos across other social media platforms. YAY!

I drafted up a list of the services we sell, what tips may help our consumers, how-to’s pertaining to our services… basically any content that can help educate, not necessarily on Aliado specifically, but industry-related topics. If you do follow us, you will quickly see the type of content we create.

Doing the Research

I started searching based on the list I created. When I came across videos I would add them to my favourites. I used these videos for inspiration as I knew they would relate to our industry. Common people would appear when doing my research so I started following them. The more research I do, the more people I follow, which results in more ideas.

These people taught me about different programs to use and how to use them. These programs not only benefit us but are something I can share with all of my followers.

I am amazed at how much I have learned just by taking some time to do some research. I wouldn’t be in this marketing role if it weren’t for TikTok.

The goal for us is to help with marketing. Whether educating our audience on marketing or offering marketing services to them. Any business should be doing some form of marketing. If you do not have the time, call us to help!
