A Walk to Raise Money For KidsInclusive
Some of you may know my story of when my twins were born. They were born at 27 weeks, weighing 1.8lbs and 2.1lbs. When the girls were released from the hospital we had to follow all sorts of doctors and specialists to ensure they were developing properly. As their first school year approached, we attended a KidsInclusive meeting to understand what it was all about. KidsInclusive provides support services for those who have physical, neurological, and developmental challenges.
Webworks Supports KidsInclusive
Webworks and partner, YourSocialStrategy, took part in a 5km walk on May 1st at 1 pm. We could not have asked for a perfect day. The sun was shining, it was gorgeous! My husband, kids, and I, along with Shelby and her family, joined Jessica Hellard as TEAM LACHLAN. As Jessica states here, “KidsInclusive is a children’s centre for development and has been amazing for providing supportive services for Lachlan and us like wheelchair/seating help, transitioning to school, physiotherapy, occupational therapy, feeding assessments and assistance, nutritional assessments, social work assistance, and general development help with many strategies and connections to help. This has been an amazing resource for us as well as many other children in our local community that is so very needed. We honestly have no idea what we would do without this amazing organization! “
The large group of us, wearing Team Lachlan shirts, started at Portsmouth Olympic Harbour and started the route to Murney Tower, then back.
The Walk Was a Success!
Our goal was to raise $2,000.00. We received 25 donations, raising 91% of our goal. We are so pleased with the results and want to thank all who supported us. KidsInclusive does not get a lot so this is very much appreciated!
